Mayor Rusty Knox ended his visit by posing for a picture with CSD’s AACA community and guests, including Executive Director, Mr. Smith (in blue). Now in its second year, the Sweet Fun Run brings families and friends together for a unique event that combines running 4 laps around CSD’s Spartan Park track with eating a treat after every lap. This year, the event raised more than $2300 for charity.

In 2022, four 9th grade friends had the idea of starting a family friendly fundraiser that combined eating and running while building school spirit.
