CSD Halloween Opinions

With Halloween right around the corner, we wanted to hear from the students here at CSD about the spooky season. As we walked through the halls a variety of students shared opinions. Some people prefer the scary aspect while others love the wholesome side of dressing up in costumes. There is no doubt that the season evokes memories be they scary or nostalgic.

What do you do on Halloween?

Chas Orostin (11th Grade) – “Sometimes I dress up and hang out with friends, this year I’ll probably have friends over.”

Sam Bloom (9th Grade) – “My family decorates our house, we buy decorations from the Halloween store. I’ll probably hang out with friends this year.”

Aidan Humphries (10th Grade) – “I go all out on my costume and we decorate the house with witches’ hats and put inflatables in the front yard”

Colton Davis (11th Grade) – “We decorate our house with pretty much what my Mom can find. Some years I dress up and some years I’m not feeling it. I usually go to a party”

Addi Holshouser (11th Grade) – “I dress up head to toe, I normally hang out with friends but I’ve never been to a Halloween party. I have decorations from previous years that I use.”

How do you rate Halloween overall?

Chas Orostin (11th Grade) –  “Out of ten I give Halloween an eight.”

Sam Bloom (9th Grade) – “Out of ten I give Halloween an eight.”

Aiden Humphries (10th Grade) – “Out of ten I give Halloween a six point five. There are better holidays.”

Colton Davis (11th grade) –  “Out of ten I give Halloween a seven.”

Addi Holshouser (11th Grade) – “Out of ten I give Halloween a nine. It’s tied with Christmas.”

It looks like most Spartans celebrate and enjoy the spooky season. From our questions, the most common Halloween tradition is decorating the house inside and out, as well as dressing up to go to parties. Halloween is the first major holiday of the school year and it’s a good chance to hang out with friends, go to a party or just celebrate with family.

Happy Halloween!
