Josh Andrews, a first-time journalist for CSD Spartan Media, is 15 years old and a sophomore at CSD. 

Andrews is a major sports fanatic and spent his summer playing baseball and even attend an MLB Kansas City game. It was his favorite part of his summer. “My family [and I] went on a trip to Kansas City to see a baseball game. It is where my mom used to live, so we went and saw her old house.”

As a baseball and football player, Andrews is most excited about playing sports his sophomore year. As a multiple sport athlete, Andrews is always ready to take on the field. “We just had our first [football] game [last] week and won.” Andrews has been a  linebacker inside the football stadium since he was in Eighth grade and a catcher when taking on the baseball field since he was five. 

When not on the field, Andrews enjoys attending math class while at school. As an advanced math III student, he likes the teacher and everything about the subject.

Andrews chose to take journalism this year because he had been told it was a fun class and his friends told him to take it. Andrews' wish for the upcoming journalism year is to be able to "communicate with people better" and gain improved writing skills.
