Sport: Soccer

Grade: Junior

Position: Center-Midfield

CSD Spartan Media: How do you balance being a student athlete?

Ross Butler: Make sure to stay on top of your work. Get little bits done at a time through the week. This allows you to balance having fun with friends and getting your work done without being stressed out.

Media: What roll do you play in your sport?

Butler: I am a center midfielder. I help create plays so we can score.

Media: What do you love most about your sport?

Butler: I love the feeling of getting past defenders with different skill moves. The look on their face never gets old.

Media: What advice would you give to other student athletes?

Butler: It’s totally worth it to play a sport. Don’t not do it because you are worried about school or other things in your life… I can guarantee you will regret not playing later in your life. [emphasis CSD Spartan Media]
